LoveGrader Privacy Policy

LoveGrader is designed to be private by default. This policy explains what the app does and does not do with your information.

The short version

Your answers stay on your device. Everything you enter is processed entirely on your device to calculate your result. Your answers are never uploaded, transmitted, shared, or sold. There is no account and no analytics tracking of your answers. The only thing the app ever sends over the network is purchase processing for the optional LoveGrader Plus one-time purchase, and that never includes your answers (see "Purchases" below).

What we collect

From your answers and check-ins: nothing. We run no server of our own and there is no account system. Your questionnaire answers exist only in the app's memory on your device while you take a check and are never sent to any server. They are never saved to disk, and they are cleared when you start over or close the check. If you buy the optional Plus unlock, the purchase itself is processed as described under "Purchases" below; that is the only network traffic the app performs.

Check-ins you choose to save

If you choose to save a check-in, the app keeps only a result summary: the date, the score with its ± confidence range, warning-sign counts, and the private nickname you typed. It is stored on your device with file protection. Your questionnaire answers themselves are never saved. You can delete any saved check-in or connection at any time by swiping, and deleting the app removes everything. The app never transmits saved check-ins anywhere. You can choose to export a connection's history as a CSV file through the iOS share sheet; it contains the date, score, ± range, band name, and warning-sign counts for each check-in, never the nickname or your answers. Like other app data, saved summaries may be included in your encrypted device backups.

Locking saved check-ins

The optional "Lock saved check-ins" feature uses Apple's on-device Face ID, Touch ID, or passcode authentication (the LocalAuthentication framework). The app never sees, stores, or transmits biometric data; iOS only tells the app whether the unlock succeeded.

Reminders

If you tap "remind me to check again", the app schedules a local notification entirely on your device, about two weeks later. There is no push server. Notification permission is requested only when you tap the reminder button. The notification text never includes a nickname, so your lock screen never shows who you are checking. Deleting a connection cancels its pending reminder.

Information about other people

The app never gathers information about the person you are asking about from any outside source. What you describe in your answers is processed only in memory on your device to compute your result; the only stored item that could relate to them is the private nickname you choose. The optional reverse-image-search suggestion is an action you choose to perform yourself, in your own web browser; the app does not look anyone up and receives no data about a third party.

Sharing

The optional "result card" you can choose to share contains no names, photos, or answers, only an abstract label and a note that the result is not a verdict or a prediction. Nothing is shared unless you explicitly tap share and choose where it goes.

You can also export a saved connection's check-in history as a CSV file through the iOS share sheet. The file contains exactly the date, score, ± range, band name, and warning-sign counts for each check-in, never the nickname and never your answers. The file is built in memory with a generic filename (check-ins.csv), and nothing is exported unless you tap export and choose where it goes.

Purchases

LoveGrader is free to download, and the entire safety check is free: the questionnaire, your results, the safety guide, the methodology, the share card, app lock, reminders, CSV export, and your first saved connection. The optional LoveGrader Plus unlock, a single one-time purchase, lets you save more than one connection.

If you buy it, the purchase is processed by Apple's App Store and validated by RevenueCat, the service the app uses to check whether Plus is unlocked. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and a random, anonymous app identifier generated on your device. We use this only to know whether Plus is unlocked. It is never your name or contact details, never your answers, never anything about the person you check, and it is not used for advertising or to track you across apps or websites. Analytics, advertising, and tracking

The app contains no analytics or advertising SDKs, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not use any AI/LLM service. The only third-party SDK in the app is RevenueCat, used solely for the purchase processing described above. Because your answers and check-ins never leave your device (except through the CSV export or share actions you choose to perform yourself), there is no server-side copy of them for us to access, recover, or delete.

Children

The app is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone beyond the anonymous purchase processing described above.

Not advice

LoveGrader is an educational and self-reflection tool. It cannot verify anyone or predict the future and is not professional, legal, financial, or counseling advice.

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
